Vote4Democracy respects your privacy. This notice explains how information is handled when you visit the Vote4Democracy website.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use this website and to improve its content and usefulness.

Information collected through Google Analytics may include:

• the number of visitors and visits;
• pages viewed and actions taken on the website;
• session and engagement information;
• approximate geographic location, such as country, state or region, and city;
• browser, device and operating-system information; and
• how a visitor reached the website, such as through Google, Facebook, a direct visit or a tracked campaign link.

Google Analytics uses first-party cookies, including cookies used to distinguish visitors and sessions. Google may use a visitor’s IP address temporarily to derive approximate location and route the data, but raw IP addresses are discarded before being logged. Vote4Democracy does not receive or view visitors’ raw IP addresses in Google Analytics reports.

How we use analytics information

We use analytics information in an aggregated form to:

• understand which pages and topics are useful to visitors;
• improve the website and its navigation;
• measure community outreach, including QR-code and letterbox-invitation campaigns;
• understand whether visitors continue from an invitation page to Community Catchups or Active Bills pages; and
• identify general patterns of local, Australian and overseas website use.

We do not use Google Analytics to identify individual website visitors. Vote4Democracy has not configured Google Analytics for targeted advertising.

Google’s processing of information

Information collected through Google Analytics is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s terms and privacy policies.

Information you choose to provide

If you contact Vote4Democracy through the website, by email or through another communication channel, we may use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, provide requested information or manage your involvement with Vote4Democracy.

We will not use information provided through an enquiry for an unrelated purpose without an appropriate reason or your consent.

Future VoteWrap services

This notice covers the public Vote4Democracy website and its current use of Google Analytics. Before VoteWrap registration, voter verification, voting or representative-selection services are opened to the public, a more detailed privacy notice will explain how participant information is collected, protected, used and disclosed.
